Update 8-10-2021: Tesla have rolled out a firmware upgrade to their home charging cable controller. It now lets through a full 10A from a 10A power point, so now charges at 2.4kWh from a standard plug. So in 10 hours thats 24kW. That’s a third of a full charge overnight, just from normal powerpoint, which is good to be able to do.
18-09-2021: Thought I’d try the trickle charge from our house power point. Really easy to just plug in and it works. We don’t have the Tesla home charger unit, just a normal power point, so only 2kWh as it draws 8A not 10A but nice to know it’s so easy from any standard power point.
