Sometimes people ask how my EV goes while parked for long periods, does it use much charge while parked?
My experience is that if I park with Sentry on, the battery may use 5% each 12 hours.
Without sentry on, it uses very little. For example, in August – September 2026, I parked my EV at the airport. I had the accessories power setting turned off, the phone charging pads turned off and sentry turned off. I had also closed the Tesla app on my phone, only turning it on and checking on the car once while I was away, then turned the app off again until I returned. I arrived at the airport with 72% charge and when I returned, 17 days later, my battery was still at 71% charge.
