Large EV Charging Networks in Australia
- AGL EV Charging App is available on Apple and Android. As of March 2025 most AGL sites are in NSW and you may activate with either AGL App or RFID, or use the Chargefox App or a RFID linked to your Chargefox App.
The AGL EV Charging website is agl.com.au/evcharging - Alchemy Charge EV Charging App on Apple and Android. Alchemy Charge Pty Ltd website shows sites in Qld, NSW, Vic, SA, Tas and WA as of Aug 2025. The Alchemy Charge EV charging network network provides AC charging through Type 2 charging points plus replacement 10A power points which have internet capability. https://www.alchemycharge.com.au/
- Ampol AmpCharge EV Charging App from Apple and Android The Ampcharge EV charging network has DC charger sites in several states. https://ampcharge.ampol.com.au
- BP Pulse EV Charging App on Apple or Android for charging at BP’s EV charging network DC chargers. BP Pulse also offer an RFID card, or you can add your own, through their app. Their website is https://www.bp.com/en_au/australia/home/products-services/bppulse/
- Chargefox EV Charging App from Apple or Android provides access to their EV charging network of DC and AC chargers. Chargefox also provide an RFID card, or you can add your own, through their app.
The Chargefox App and RFID may also be used to activate and charge at partner EV charging networks of NRMA, RAA and AGL EV charging stations.
The RAA SA says RAA Members receive 10% discount at their RAA EV charging network on the Chargefox App or RFID. Chargefox say they give members of all motoring organisations 10% discount at select DC locations. - Everty EV Charging App, on Apple or Android. As of March 2025 the app is showing sites of DC & AC chargers on their EV charging network in all states and ACT and NT. https://everty.com.au Everty also provide an RFID card.
- Evie EV Charging App is on Apple or Android and gives access to Evie DC & AC electric vehicle charging network which is in all states, the ACT and NT Evie also provide an RFID card, or you can add your own, through their app.

- EVX Australia EV Charging App for EVX EV charging network AC chargers, in Apple or Android. EVX also allow you to register your own RFID card in their app. https://evx.tech/
- Exploren EV Charging App, on Apple or Android for access to the Exploren DC & AC electric vehicle charging network which is in all states, the ACT and NT. You can also order a RFID card with Exploren or add your own RFID card https://exploren.com.au/
- Jolt EV Charging App, Apple or Android for access to the Jolt EV charging network DC chargers. As of March 2025 sites are in Qld, NSW, Vic and SA. https://jolt.com.au/ .
- Noodoe EV Charging App, from Apple and Android for Noodoe network of DC & AC EV chargers, in Qld, NSW, Vic and WA https://www.noodoe.com.au/meet-noodoe
- NRMA EV Charging App. The My NRMA App is on Apple or Android and is for NRMA EV charging network of DC and AC chargers. You can also use the Chargefox App or any RFID card that you have added to your Chargefox App, on the NRMA charger and it will activate and charge you through the Chargefox App. NRMA offers a 5c/kWh discount for Members if they use the My NRMA App.
- Origin 360 EV Charge app by Origin Energy (Apple or Android) from Origin Energy for Origin 360 EV Charge network chargers, which you can use the app or their RFID card to pay for. You can also use their partner EV charging networks, showing on the map in their app, including Jolt, Elanga and Evie chargers. To use the Origin App at non Origin chargers, you first need to register through Origin. Registration is only available to eligible Origin 360 EV customers or anyone with an active Origin electricity account. - RAA SA EV Charging Network has over 140 locations across South Australia and displays their locations and details, including price on a map on their Website. and in their App, but to charge, you need to use the Chargefox App. The Chargefox App displays all of the RAA chargers. RAA members receive a 10% discount on all RAA EV charging stations if they enter their RAA Membership number into the Chargefox App.
- Smart Charge EV Charging App on Apple or Android for access to Smart Charge DC & AC EV charging network in several states and ACT. Smart Charge also provide an RFID card https://smart-charge.com.au/ .
- Tesla EV Charging App is on Apple and Android There are over 130 Tesla Supercharger DC locations around Australia and several hundred AC charge points. - CasaCharge EV Charging App from Apple and Android. As at Nov 2025, CasaCharge EV charging network has AC chargers in WA, SA and NSW and DC Chargers in WA. https://casacharge.com.au/
- ChargeAway is a Peer to Peer EV charging network service with an app to find and book EV charging spaces. People with EV chargers can offer them to other EV drivers who may book to use them. Charge Away have sites in NSW, SA and Vic as of July 2025. Their app is on Apple and Android. https://chargeaway.com.au
- ChargeOn EV charging app for AC and DC chargers is on Apple and on Android. As of August 2025 it has chargers in Qld. https://chargeonev.com.au
- ChargePost EV charging network has an App on Apple and on Android. Their website is https://www.chargepost.com.au ChargePost EV charger roll out commenced in 2025 in North Sydney, NSW.
- Elanga EV Charging App, on Apple or Android for their DC & AC EV charging network with sites in Qld and NSW as of March 2025. Elanga also provide an RFID card, or you can add your own, through their app. https://elanga.com.au and .

- Enevi EV Charging App on Apple and Android . Enevi have AC EV charging network sites in NSW & Qld as of July 2025. You can order an Enevi RFID card or add your own RFID card to the Enevi App. https://www.enevi.com.au
- Get Electric EV Charging App on Apple and Android Get Electric EV charging network has DC & AC chargers. Sites as of July 2025 are in Qld, NSW and Victoria. https://getelectric.com.au

- Ivygo is a Peer to Peer EV charging network service with an app to find and book EV charging spaces. People with EV chargers can offer them to other EV drivers who may book to use them. The app shows chargers near the town you are in or you search for, it doesn’t show them in other locations unless you search. Ivygo EV charging network has sites in several states as of Oct 2025. - OTR EV EV Charging App on Apple and Android OTR EV provide DC charging. As of August 2025 OTR EV charging network has 2 sites in SA, one in NSW at Mt Annan and one in Corio Vic. https://www.otr.com.au
- SolarHub Charge EV Charging App from Apple or Android for the SolarHub Charge EV charging network of AC chargers, which is in ACT and the South Coast of NSW. SolarHub also allow RFID cards to be used. https://solarhub.net.au/solarhub-charge/ .
- Sonic Charge EV charging network uses a QR code to take you to a web portal to pay, not an app. As of October 2025, Sonic Charge have DC sites in WA and AC sites in NSW. https://www.soniccharge.com.au

PlugShare App – Location of all chargers
PlugShare app is a key app as it shows locations of most EV charging networks, non networked chargers and home chargers, reviews on their status, an alert system to notify you when they’re available and a trip planning function. Download PlugShare from Apple or Google Play. PlugShare is owned by EVGo Inc. PlugShare also provides a single payment portal called Pay With PlugShare, which EV charging networks can join if they wish https://help.plugshare.com/hc/en-us/articles/7678161142035-Get-started-Pay-with-PlugShare I am not aware of any Australian networks joining Pay With PlugShare yet or what fees are involved to join. Australian EV networks currently choose to retail direct to their customers through app, RFID, credit card reader or QR code.
ABRP A Better Routeplanner app, in Apple or Android, is a locator and route planner app. ABRP is owned by the US company Rivian Automotive, Inc. ABRP website is https://abetterrouteplanner.com/
RFID Cards for EV Charging in Australia
Some EV charging networks offer RFID cards for EV Charging, or let you add your own RFID card in their App, which is great, as you can keep them in your car and use them to activate the charger without your phone.
14 EV Networks let you add your own RFID card or RFID tag for charging♦ BP Pulse, Chargefox, Elanga, Enevi, Everty, Evie, Exploren, Wevolt and Thundergrid Australia have their own RFID cards but also allow you to add your own RFID card or tag number.
♦ AGL, EVX, Get Electric and SolarHub don’t have their own RFID card but allow you to add your own RFID card in their app.
♦ NRMA, RAA, AGL let you use any RFID card, linked to your Chargefox account, to charge your EV.
4 EV Networks only let you use the RFID card they issue you
♦ Charge Hub, Origin 360 EV Charge, Smart Charge and Seavolt use only the RFID card they issue you.
EV Networks that don't yet provide a RFID card or option to add one
♦ Alchemy Charge, AmpCharge, Casacharge, ChargeAway, Charge N Go Australia, ChargeOn EV, ChargePost, Elu, EVUp, I-Charge, Ivygo, Jolt, Noodoe, NRG Charge, OTR EV, Sonic Charge, T-Power and Tesla don’t offer RFID Cards.

For many of the AC chargers, you will need to take your own Type 2 22kW 32A 3Phase cable, available from Tesla or most ev charging suppliers.
