2,368km rural trip by EV through Victoria and western NSW to Ballarat, Cohuna, Hay, Hillston, Lake Cargelligo, and Parkes.
First day’s travel was 586km from northern Sydney to Albury by EV with one 20min charging stop at Yass. Average range in my EV was 43.4km per 10% of battery or 434km per 100%.
Day 2 Albury to Ballarat, stopping at Glenrowan for breakfast and topped up at the BP Pulse EV chargers there, then coffee at Kilmore where I topped up at the Superchargers before continuing on to Ballarat. On day 3 visited Federation University at Mt Helen. There is a large bank of AC chargers at Fed Uni which I plugged my EV into while visiting. Then visits to nearby towns before back to Ballarat for lunch at Lake Wendouree. While having lunch at Lake Wendouree I topped up my EV at the Cha-Cha Charging AC charger at the Lake Inn.
Days 4 north by EV to Bendigo, topping up at the Superchargers during breakfast then via Cohuna and Hay to stay at Hillston overnight, 1,719km so far. In Cohuna I topped up at the Evie charger. I had a look at the new T-Power charger In Cohuna, but it wasn’t yet commissioned. Note that some roads, like Bilgoola to Hilston are gravel and dirt roads, open in dry weather only. So it may be best to travel from Hay via Midwestern Hwy to Gunbar and Goolgawi then Kidman Way through Merriwagga to Hillston.
Day 5 is Hillston to Parkes and then home to Sydney.
Type of EV is a 2021 3LR, which has now done 92,210km.
